I thought this was a super cute idea of Valentine's Day cards. My boys would love them and love to give them for that matter! This great idea can be found here at Zakka Life. Head to Zakka Life to get a printable template for these super hero capes and masks.

You could choose maps for any big events, really. I think I would choose: A map of where we met, got engaged and married.

I don't know about you, but I love these. The way they glow, the basis for the company, how they give back, how they help local artists. If you have not check out Glassybaby before, you should... head here to check out their website. On January 28th, Galssybaby is having their HUGE seconds sale. This is a BIG deal! People line up, and line up early. They bring laundry baskets to carry their goods in. And let's just say, you can get these beauties for cheap, well cheaper that usual.
Seconds Sale at the Madrona store on Saturday, January 28. Doors will open at 9:00am this year instead of 10:00.

So, winter finally hit around here.... we had a crazy amount of snow, then ice, which cause us to have no power. Thankfully, we are back in the game and got power back yesterday. My friend, Courtney, has this great cooking blog and she turned this snow into something fun to do with the kids. SNOW ICE CREAM!! What could be better!?!?!
Vanilla Snow Ice Cream
All you need is :
8 cups of snow
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
1 1/2 tsp of vanilla

Is kid art taking over your house?!? It is here. I love the art projects that come home from school, but sometimes I just don't know what to do with them all. Here are some fun ideas to display and keep these projects.

We had friends over last night and they brought this.... I am not usually big on shots, but let me tell you, these were fun! I love the ice shot idea. Just fill the molds with water, put in the freezer and you have your shot glass.
Get yours here at amazon for $7.81
We used them with this.... Pinnacle Cotton Candy Vodka. I was hesitant at first, once I tried it, I was a fan for sure!

It started dumping snow at our house today. My kids are in heaven and have been playing outside all morning. This is the perfect time to pull out our Snowman Kit. Ours was a gift and so fun to play with, even if it is just once or twice a year. Here are a few different types.
Find it here at Restoration Hardware.

I have seen these Racehl Ray casserole dishes around here and there. For some reason, I really like a few of them. The shape, color, size, etc.... Well, they kind of make me want to cook. I think I might have to give them a try!

I usually go for a Peach Bellini, but the idea of cranberry is interesting. A nice change....refreshing and still delicious. I found the idea here at A Crimson Kiss, but the recipe is, of course, Everyday Food.
1 bottle of sparkling wine
1 cup of pear nectar
1 cup of cranberry juice

Folding a Fitted Sheet
I learned how to do this years ago while working at my grandpa's cleaners. It is so helpful and makes folding the fitted sheet so much easier. Thanks to Martha, there is a great picture guide out there. For written directions go here to MarthaStewart.com
To go with this, here is another great tip for storing sheets. Storing sheets inside the pillow case. Of course, I did not think of this. Martha Stewart, again!
